OPENING RECEPTION: ERIC AHO | MEETING PLACE

December 21, 2017

JACKSON HOLE, Wyoming — Tayloe Piggott Gallery is pleased to announce Meeting Place, a solo exhibition by artist Eric Aho. Featuring his abstracted landscapes, this is the gallery’s first exhibition with the painter. A reception to celebrate the opening will be hosted on Thursday, December 21 from 6 to 8pm; all are invited to attend.

Based in Vermont, Aho is known for his gestural impressions of landscapes. Drawn to extreme environments, his artistic practice works to keep pace with the seasons. Aho’s world is comprised of the colors, textures, and forms of nature. Spanning the icy white of New England’s winters to Cuba’s red warm earth, Aho carries his memory of each landscape with him back into his studio. Bits and fragments from each scene ground the viewer, while the rest of the dynamic image embraces the entropy and disorganization that make up the outdoors.
